Randy Hale is a performer who is fluent in a diverse range of styles. Trained as a studio singer, Hale’s engaging presence and ability to communicate with his audience makes him a sought-after favorite for piano bars, restaurants, and special events.
Able to cover a full range of musical styles from the sultry sounds of Cole Porter and Hoagie Carmichael to the rock ‘n roll beat of Billy Joel and Elton John; the R&B of Sam Cooke and Ray Charles to the contemporary rhythms of Bruno Mars and Goyte, Hale can engage and please audiences of all ages and musical tastes.
As a singer/songwriter, Hale’s release of LOST & FOUND reflects his deep respect for great songwriting and vocal expression. Weaving a rich cloth of ideas and topics, LOST & FOUND takes us on a journey that explores everything from the political wit of Blame It On Them to the romance of Dance To The Music to the heartfelt homage to Hale’s own Grandma. A collection of artistic inventions, Hale is an artisan songmaker whose distinctive voice and elegant lyrics capture and sustain our attention. He is currently working on a new CD, Hymns & Hers, a collection of songs about faith and Hale’s love and admiration for the women in his life. Hale is also co-book writer and composer for the musical, Songs From The Tall Grass, which made its world-premier at Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C.
With a voice that has been reviewed as reminiscent of James Taylor and Elton John, Hale has opened for acts as diverse as Lili Tomlin and Bobby McFerrin.
